IMF mission to Iceland, 18-28 September
A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the leadership of mission chief Daria Zhakarova concluded a two-week visit to Iceland today. The purpose of the visit was to meet with the authorities and discuss economic affairs in Iceland.The mission was an element in the post-programme monitoring of Iceland’s Stand-By Arrangement with the IMF, which concluded in August 2011. Meetings were held with the authorities, members of Parliament, the university community, private sector representatives, and labour market representatives.
The Fund has published the mission’s concluding statement containing the highlights of the past two weeks’ discussions on its website today.
