Meginmál

Data that submitting parties regularly send to the Central Bank of Iceland are of great importance and used for, among other things, financial supervision, statistical analysis and various analyses of the financial market. In many cases, the data are also forwarded to international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA, ESMA and ESRB).

All regular data submissions to the Central Bank are carried out electronically through a data portal. It is also possible for submitting parties to directly connect their IT systems to the Central Bank’s services portal and submit data automatically.

In the data portal, submitting parties can see an overview of data submissions and submission deadlines. There are also diagrams, submission forms and instructions for individual submissions.

There is also a user interface for data submission to the Central Bank in the data portal. The access controllers of each submitting party can set up users and access groups and thus control access for individual submissions according to needs.
