Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 334.1 b.kr. at the end of May. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 315.2 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 18.9 b.kr.
Domestic assets of the companies were in total 274.8 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 59.3 b.kr.
Domestic liabilities amounted to 156.5 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 139.1 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 411 m.kr.
Equity of insurance companies amounted to 177.2 b.kr. at the end of May and increased by 3.1 b.kr. between months.
Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
