Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 349.3 b.kr. at the end of March. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 331.1 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 18.2 b.kr.
Domestic assets of the companies were in total 285.1 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 64.1 b.kr.
Domestic liabilities amounted to 161.1 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 139.3 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 487 m.kr.
Equity of insurance companies amounted to 187.6 b.kr. at the end of March and decreased by 7.2 b.kr. between months.
Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
