Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 361.9 b.kr. at the end of January. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 340.3 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 21.6 b.kr.
Domestic assets of the companies were in total 294.3 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 67.6 b.kr.
Domestic liabilities amounted to 166.7 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 143.5 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 745 m.kr.
Equity of insurance companies amounted to 194.4 b.kr. at the end of January and increased by 4.0 b.kr. between months.
Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
