Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 359.8 b.kr. at the end of February. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 338.4 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 21.5 b.kr.
Domestic assets of the companies were in total 293.4 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 66.4 b.kr.
Domestic liabilities amounted to 164.4 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 141.7 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 579 m.kr.
Equity of insurance companies amounted to 194.9 b.kr. at the end of February and increased by 437 m.kr. between months.
Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
