Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 347.6 b.kr. at the end of December. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 326.7 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 20.9 b.kr.
Domestic assets of the companies were in total 282.4 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 65.2 b.kr.
Domestic liabilities amounted to 156.9 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 137.8 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 285 m.kr.
Equity of insurance companies amounted to 190.4 b.kr. at the end of December and increased by 983 m.kr. between months.
Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
