Government credit funds in January 2026

Total assets of government credit funds at the end of January amounted to 504.6 b.kr. and decreased by 111.1 b.kr. between months. Domestic assets amounted to 504.3 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 224 m.kr.
Total liabilities (without equity) amounted to 284.7 b.kr. and decreased by 356.9 b.kr. during the month.
Equity of government loan funds increased by 245.8 b.kr. from the previous month and was 219.9 b.kr. at the end of January.

The change is mainly due to the liquidation of ÍL-Fund, which was liquidated at the end of last year and the remaining assets and liabilities of the fund were transferred to the Treasury.

To ensure that the loans in the ÍL-fund's portfolio are not excluded from the Central Bank's monthly statistics, the loan portfolio is still included in the statistics on the government's credit funds (along with a corresponding debt entry). Other assets of the liquidated ÍL-Fund are not included in the data.
