Total financial assets of the financial institutions stood at 18,716,3 b.kr., at the end of 3rd quarter of 2022, an increase of 311.4 b.kr. from the last quarter. The main changes between quarters are that currency and deposits increased by 107.2 b.kr. and loans increased by 177.5 b.kr. Total liabilities of financial corporations amounted to 18,889.1 b.kr and increased by 301.4 b.kr. in the quarter. The main changes are an increase in currency and deposits by 79.4 b.kr. and an increase in securities other than shares by 86.1 b.kr. Net financial liabilities amounted to 172.8 b.kr. at the end of 3rd quarter of 2022.
Households’ loans from Financial Corporations at the end of 3rd quarter of 2022 stood at 2,861.5 b.kr. thereof 2,382.2 b.kr. in mortgage loans. Non-financial corporations’ loans from Financial Corporations stood at 2,243.4 b.kr. Non-financial corporations’ securities owned by Financial Corporations stood at 471.5 b.kr. at the end of 3rd quarter of 2022.
The financial accounts are published as a total balance sheet for financial corporations but also by sectors and counter parties.
Time series are published for all financial corporations and also by sectors. The time series for non-financial corporations´ debt to financial corporations show the debts classified by type of lenders and by type of loans. It also includes non-financial corporations´ securities owned by financial corporations. The time series for household debts show the debts classified by lenders and by type of loans. It also includes mortgage loans classified by type.
The financial accounts are published according to the European System of Accounts (ESA2010) and The International Monetary Fund´s standard for monetary and financial statistics.
