On Monday, 16 June 2025, the annual discussion on Iceland's economic situation and outlook took place in the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). IMF staff conduct assessments of the economies of member countries every one to two years on the basis of Article IV of the IMF's Articles of Agreement (Article IV Consultation). An IMF mission held meetings with the Icelandic authorities and various stakeholders in April and May this year.
