Speech by Governor Gudmundsson: The financial crisis in Iceland and the fault lines in cross-border banking

Mr. Mar Gudmundsson, Governor of the Central Bank of Iceland, gave a speech about the financial crisis in Iceland and the fault lines in cross-border banking at the recent FIBE conference in Bergen, Norway.  In his speech, Mr. Gudmundsson concentrated primarily on the rise and fall of three cross-border banks that operated on the basis of EU legislation.
