International Monetary Fund mission visits Iceland 1-14 December 2009

A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the leadership of mission chief Mark Flanagan concluded a two-week visit to Iceland today. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the Second Review of the economic programme of the Icelandic Government and the IMF with the Icelandic authorities. The mission engaged in fruitful meetings with government official, members of Parliament, representatives of the business community and the labour movement, the university community, and various other stakeholders.
