Central Bank of Iceland raises the policy rate

The Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Iceland has decided to raise its policy interest rate by 6 percentage points to 18%. A news release to be published by the Bank on its website shortly after 11:00 a.m. GMT today presents the rationale behind the Board of Governors' decision.
