The annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank were held in Washington, D.C., October 20-22, 2007. The International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) of the IMF met on October 20.

Finland chairs the Nordic-Baltic Constituency in the International Monetary Fund and represents it in the IMFC in 2006 and 2007. The Finnish Minister of Finance, Mr. Jyrki Katainen, attended the IMFC meeting.

Mr. Nils Bernstein, Governor of the Central Bank of Denmark, spoke on behalf of the Nordic Countries in the Joint Annual Discussion.
