Már Guðmundsson appointed to the Bank for International Settlements in Basel

Már Guðmundsson, Chief Economist of the Central Bank of Iceland, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Monetary and Economics Department of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). Már Guðmundsson will take up the post at the BIS towards the end of June.

The appointment is an important recognition both for Már Guðmundsson personally and for the Central Bank of Iceland.
