The Central Bank of Iceland has for several years published in English The Economyof Iceland. It describes the main characteristics of the Icelandic economyand society. In the 2002 issue there are chapters on the recent developmentsand prospects in the Icelandic economy, on country and people, on twentiethcentury economic developments, on the structure of the economy, the financialsystem, the public sector, monetary policy and foreign debt. Finally,there is a statistical appendix. This publication is 68 pages and is accessibleon the web-site of the Central Bank of Iceland.
